    I don't think this is an old piece. I remember seeing it used as a candy dish but I don't know if that's it's real function. It's a very pretty color and I like it even though I don't believe it has any value!

      Everything has value to someone! Indiana glass made these hens in the 1970's in Colored non-iridized glass and Carnival like yours. My wife has a complete display of these "Useful" show pieces. The lids are pretty brittle so using them as covered candy dishes is harmful to the Hens. RER(BOB)
