Remember When- At Your Corner Butcher Shop-

Remember when your Butcher would wrap-up your favorite cuts of meat in waxed paper and brown paper that he would unroll from a large roll of paper. He would then have a cone of string held by a Cast Iron holder overhead to tie your purchases. Chances are, the holder would have looked something like this one that is decorated with chasings of Stars and Bars and weighed down with a lead bar underneath.
