    It has no markings and I was told it belonged to my great-grandmoher. I think the top might be silver but I'm not sure. Any idea what it is?

      Well, it's sitting on a coaster in the pictures. I hope that gives you a little more info on the size.

      Most likely a sugar-- if standard 3- 4" coaster. Can you measure it or put something next to it for comparison?

      Measuring from handle to handle and with the lid on it measures 6 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall.
