Chinese or Japanese carved nesting tables i know my grandma paid alot for!

I inherited these from my grandparents who are deceased. they were very into oriental décor. the are about 3 feet long, 2 feet tall, and one foot tall. about 8 inches deep.

I don't know what the wood is...there is a slight blemish on the top table,,,looks like a burn maybe. I love them they just don't match my décor and I don't wanna take them to Goodwill!
