Has anyone seen another set like this?
Can anyone tell me the name of this model of dinette, and it's approximate date of manufacture?
I have found it extremely difficult, to locate much in the way of historical data on the Angelus Furniture Co, save for its having been known for manufacturing reproductions of period-correct antique furniture, for the Hollywood Film industry.
It appears to have begun manufacturing in about 1930, but I have been able to locate precious little data about the company.
The dinette set pictured here, is the only one like it that I have ever seen.
I have never been able to locate any photos of another Angelus dinette of this particular style and model.
This is the only instance of furniture manufactured by Angelus Furniture Co. that I have ever come across.
It was up for sale in a Vintage Second Hand shop in Birch Bay, WA USA, in approximately December, 2009.
The table and chairs definitely are all of, or part of a full set, manufactured by Angelus Furniture Co. of Los Angelus, CA.
I bought the table and the four chairs as a set, and they all bore the stamp of Angelus Furniture Mfg. Co.
It is unknown to me, whether the set may have once included a pair of armchairs.
The table and the chairs, feature modified Queen Anne style feet; and the table features a single, folding leaf, nested beneath the halves of the tabletop, within the horizontal frame rails.
I would most appreciate, if anyone could provide any historical data about the manufacturer, and information about the dinette, including its model name, style number, manufacturing date, and the name of the designer.
