This is an original 1930s Bayard clock by Bayard with original box. Iam not sure if it has been repainted color is flat, but on the bottom of base paint is chipped off and looks original. maybe Kerry can give some info.

Hello Mickey, love it, and the color is correct. The base is a true mark of the earlier version also. Now for the.... From all the info I've every read on these, the "Par authorization" marked on the dial would relate to 1945 and later. These were produced from 1936-69 , with another variant in the 70's, these models had the date printed on the dial. I'm by no means saying the books are right, I've found to many other discrepancies. I will see if I can find a definitive answer, either way, VERY nice and Thanks for showing this museum quality piece.

The search continues, Sent out 10 emails for a definitive answer, hopefully someone will know he whole story. I guess next time I'm in you neck of the woods, I'll have to drop in and we can open this baby up and see the date code, lol.

On the back plate of the brass movement, should be a set numbers that represent the date, if you read comments to George on mine, it tell you how to open up completely, . If you've went that far should be it the top l/h side of the movement
