Hello again,
I picked this up at an estate sale a couple of months ago. It was a very beautiful older home on a bluff overlooking the ocean in Chatham, filled with incredible things,........ and an amazing library.
This was on a shelf in the living room. Though we arrived late to the sale, there were still a lot of wonderful things to be had.
This is an enchanting little piece, approximately 3+1/2" high. It looked like something special to me, and I'm crazy about mushrooms:)
Does it look familiar to anyone out there?

Martika, I also enjoy eating and foraging for mushrooms. I've gone mushrooming many times with my Grandmother in Bohemia, she had eagle eyes and an incredible knowledge of different ones. It was her great joy, to be in the forest among her friends,( all the animals there ), picking mushrooms.
I would wish to have in me even a fraction of the beauty that she had within her. Thank You for bringing that thought of her to me.
I was born also in the former Czechoslovakia, where mushroom picking is a tradition. I have too very nice memories about it which I treasure :)
