This cute heavy metal frog was dug up out of the ground in the 60's in Detroit. Family has had ever since. I understand these frog are folk art made from the metal workers from old sewer pipe.

hi plaintosee. the sewer pipe frogs are not made from metal, but ceramic - as in the old-fashioned ceramic sewer pipe.
Hmmm...This one is definitely metal, possibly iron? It's rusting.
There must be two different kinds as I see they have some of these cast iron ones on ebay. Odd how the ceramic and metal ones look the same.
