This is my absolutely favorite lamp! I believe it was designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier in the 1950's or 60's.

In the early 70's I helped a good friend of mine keep his antiques and accessories shop open for business in Dayton, Ohio while he was on a buying trip. When he returned he gave me the choice of anything in his shop as a generous Thank You. This handsome lamp was my pick.

It's an original, but recently I noticed "knockoffs" of the lamp are offered online. I have not seen one of the $399.00 copies in person. In the listing photo they appear to have thicker tubing, and I am guessing the quality of materials and workmanship is not as good.

Hi Dave68, you have good taste, your lamp was actually designed by Tommi Parzinger and value estimates are $2,000-$3,000. One recently sold at Wright Modern Auctions for $1,400. I think it sold a bit low due to the economy. Definitely a lamp to hold onto! Check out the links below for more info.
