I bought this years ago from a friend who is a "picker". It is a coin silver mint julep cup marked on the bottom "Indianapolis" and "Tadbott Bailey and Co". I looked up the marks a long time ago. I think it was from the 1845-1854 period. I can't remember which years exactly. When I get the time I need to research it again.
I do admit using this cup for my annual mint julep, as I watch the Kentucky Derby as a salute to my Kentucky grandparents.
