Wow! Aligator with double locks. That must be the jackpot. The end caps for the handles appear to be stamped metal which would date it after 1890, I believe. Can't wait to hear from others on this site. I do not think there is another aligator covered trunk here.

Sorry I have just realsied it isnt aligator, its aligator/croc embossed metal of some sort. Opps oh and its got faded CC initials on either the side, Christopher Columbus maybe? ha ha
Check out trunk # 38. It is another faux gator/crock. You have company.
I have a very similar trunk, with the exact lock set. I do not have a key. Do you? If so would share a pic so I can know what I am looking for. Any writing on the key (if you have one) or on the lock would help me in my search.
