time for soem new finds! snagged this one at an estate sale for just a few bucks,..keepos pretty good time,..blew out the dust and gave it some NYE clock oil and it ,..ticks? cant realy hear it,.merrily along,..cool diiamond shaped blue face,..not hugely accurate ,..sems to be hard to get nailed down accuracy wise,..think its a pretty old example cause it predates the well in the botom to sexure the pendulum,..base is perfectly smoooth so you have to carefully unhook the spinner before you move it,..base is very shiny under the dome,..and tarnished almost black where the air hits it,..anyone know a date?only flaw i see on it is the peak tallest finial is gone,...eh we should all look this good when we get this old!!,..lost al my highest finials( hair) years ago!
A real beauty: both blue and green! I have a Schatz turquoise one and has been overhauled professionally and I love it. Thanks for sharing your one.
Really beautiful: the blue dial, the green columns and the fact the dial is diamond-shaped. I have one diamond-shaped anniversary clock which is on show on Collectors Weekly and it has been overhauled. I won it at auction. Occasionally, I have to adjust the timekeeping though, which I find a bit of a nuisance.
