good timekeeper one o my favorite cowboy-looking timepieces,..starts rite up no rocking with only a couple winds,..and keeps decently good time and another spectacularly awesome looking elgin engraving festival inside ,...modern mechanical watches should take note,..,..craftsmanship will get you more attention than just shiny gears i mean look how borign and simple the watch is,..then you pop the back and WOW!

thanks toolate,..older than i thought,..wish it stil had the thick ould glass but the crylic is in perfect shape so I'll enjoy it more
This one's from 1920. It has 7 jewels and it's a model 7... They made this model from 1903 thru 1945. 1,501,000 made were 7 jewel like yours...
Amazing little things aren't they? Do you carry yours?
this one and my seth thomas from 1911 are my favorite ones to wear,..have to get a spring for the key winding waltham,..on hold for that,.cash is king and he rules with an iron fist,.i like the big serious pocket clock type ones,..ones you can feel in your pocket all the time,..the art deco ones are almost too nice to wear,.i lov that the engravign on the cases is so sharp still ,.and dont want to wear em,,its silly .is no way i could wear em down before i stop breathign anyway
I agree! I like the big ones. 16 or 18 size... I've had a couple hunter case watches but I don't enjoy carrying them as much. It takes to long to check the time...lol...
Shawnicus, this is a very fine example of a great Elgin pocket watch!! Based on your serial number, your watch was manufactured in 1919. Though, I could be wrong about this. The website below, has the serial numbers and the year that those serial numbers were manufactured. Thanks for sharing!!
