I am such a newby... I'm just getting started on ebay. This was my very first bid and I won =^) (I was the only bidder) tehehe. I couldn't help myself... I had to bid on this beautiful little dish. It measures 7 1/2" x 5". I love the red, its going to go so well with my roosters. I don't know what they usually go for, but I think I did very well.

I'm very sorry that happened to you and how you're being treated now.
Maybe something in my blue collection might take your blues away ;^)
Go have a look and hopefully you'll love something I'm not attached to.

Aimathena, I must tell you that you showed some insight here on this piece. I know it seems sometimes that I'm a "knowitall" when it comes to all this stuff but we have spent better than 30 years looking at all this stuff, so when I tell you that you did great, you did! These butter servers are gaining in popularity right now so hold onto it and who knows, in 10 years it might bring some great dividends. I have never seen a glass server in this good of condition before.

=^) Thank you very much sign, that truly means a lot to me.
I definitely do not think you come across as a know it all.
I always appreciate information from others, especially because I am just getting started and know almost nothing. I buy what I'm attracted to LoL I have gotten lucky value wise a few times. Your input is always welcome. Thanks again!

nice pieces; unfortunately it appears to be what is called a marriage. The EAPG lid is Doyle's #876 Triple Triangle, c.1890. The bottom looks to be maybe a depression era or later plate; hard to say without seeing the detail.

Thanks again TallCakes, *very* impressive. You certainly know your glass. The seller did say the bottom might not be original. I didn't mind because it was only $18.90 including shipping, and I wanted it for personal use. I am so impressed with your knowledge. I wish I could take you shopping with me. hehehe

Keep watch and a butter base may eventually turn up; someone might think it to be a handled bowl.

Thanks TC and will do. You're the best TallCakes. Now I need to find a photo of what it looks like.

Tom xoxox thanks for the love and cute comment

Pretty sure that base is Indiana Glass Company's "Rosepoint Band" aka "Clematis" from the teens.

      Thank you Paul.
I don't know why I didn't updated the photos with more details of the bottom piece, I'll have to do that. Chalk it up to being too new to the glassware world.
