This is a second necklace I found at the same place. It has large beads, separated by small glass beads. The clasp looks vintage to me. It has a brass clasp that works like a screw. This style of clasp is still available, but I haven't seen them mad of brass. I believe it could be Bakelite but I honestly don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, PhilDavidAlexanderMorris:)
Valentino97, thank you so much for your information. I'll measure the necklaces when I come home. As far as I remember, they are both the same lengths.
I have a bakelite necklace with beads just like yours. I posted it a while ago together with some other yellow bakelite. I m pretty sure yours is also bakelite...To be 100% sure you should use the techniques JayHow just told you.
Great find!
I m so sorry, I just noticed I didn't post a picture of my necklace. Oh well, I will post it later.
I don't know not much about Bakelite jewelry. But the only thing I know is to test if it's real Bakelite with Simichrome. It never fails is my experience.
