Check the name plate got the serial number an check it on line it was made all during WW I. Infact got it out of an old V.A. hospital in an auction. I have to clean it get new tires for it. And recane it. But I'll have it looking as good as it should in no time.
Any idea what the worth of this wheelchair is? My mother-in-law has one in perfect condition that's just sitting around her house. I've been trying to get my hands on it for years. lol
I've seen them go for over $300 in that conditions with the buyer taking to N.Y. city for resale he said he could get $600-$800 for it. Said a doctor would by it or someone looking for something out of the ordinary. My area of N.Y. $300 is at the high end. The closer you get to N.Y. the more people can ask for the stuff.
I'm going to use it as a TV chair down in my basement along with the civil war one.
I have one just like this, where do you find the serial number? My late husband had it refurbished and brought back to mint condition. Good to know it was from WWI era. If you know anymore facts about it I would be interested in knowing.
Great chair. Love this kind of stuff.
