James, nice knife collection! Would you mind taking a look at the knife and sword I posted today? I've had them for a long time and would like to know any history on them. Thanks!

I would think it has something to do with the Swastika. As detestable as the Nazis were in the 1940's it is a part of history that should be remembered in all its infamy as those who forget it are domed to repeat it. I think it is wrong but I do understand why..... To some people those items bring back bitter memories. We should be mindful of them also.

Well what about the people that faught us from dif countries. Then we post our military stuff thats kinda the same thing. like iraq stuff jap stuff the english korean stuff north vitetnamese war Prob a lot of bad memories for these people too.But it was History and we are just collectors.

As I said I don't agree with that mind set. It is history and I agree with you in the respect it is history. It should be remembered it should all be seen. Hiding it and hoping it all goes away does no one any good. Peoples feelings need the pain of knowing. Without that pain people will continue to do the things they have done in the past. We are heading in that direction now with political correctness. There are people out there that say the Holocaust never happened. The Japaneses internment camps weren't real. These people need these painful reminders. If not for anything other than to Highlight mans inhumanity to man. Sometimes I wounder if mans capacity to do evil isn't greater than his capacity to do good.

You should have been a writer very well said for sure.

I just see so many things happening around the world that are just continuances of things that have happen in the past. Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina you would think after 600 yrs. they would stop fighting. I like seeing the Muslims get their freedom afterward I'd like to see them leave the Christians & the Jews alone. But alas I don't see that happening. I think the only people that see this is us armchair historians and militaria collectors. Thanks for your service AR8Jason

As a Marine vet, I totally support our troops in their endevers both home and abroad past and present. I will also agree with the earlier posted comments that people need to have reminders of our history, And to step back to the collectable, I really got to say, I LOVE the Pith helmet. Kerry

Good collection... On the swastika thing, folks who are offended by it should not seek it out, ergo ebay is making an issue out of a non-issue by prohibiting the pics of these items... Just my 2 cents

Very nice collection of knives James. I see several KABAR'S in there. We called them Marine fighting knives when I was at Parris Island and Camp Lejeune. Out of all of the knives I have collected, that is my favorite. The KABAR company is still in business, and sells a nice new edition of this awesome knife ! Thanks for sharing !
