    This marble looks to be stone but what kind is unknown to me, it doesn't scratch like glass, how old is another question but it sure is pretty!

      Looks most like a mineral sphere more than a marble, does light show through when it is back-lighted? Also looks to be around 2" diameter which is common for a mineral sphere. Not old, still being made today, not sure of what mineral it is though. Hope this helps

      Hi I think this is what you in the States call a blue Bennington. it is made of blue glazed pottery . They where made by workers at most 19th and early 20th century potteries throughout the world.

      It looks like an Azurite sphere. It may be Lapis, but from the photo it appears to be a very pretty (stone/mineral) Azurite sphere.
