Just looking at this stove brings to mind many wonderful memories. As a small child staying with my grandparents, I would play on the kitchen floor or fill my coloring books at the table-- feeling the warm and comfort that only a child knows how to feel.
You are lookin at a "Spark" brand wood burning gas stove built by the Hammer Bray Company in Oakland, California, July 1921. It was their deluxe, state-of-the-art model when my grandfather purchased it for my grandmother. I do believe this perfectly functioning piece was designed to last forever!
The stove is in remarkably beautiful, original conditioin. It has two ovens--one with a broiler, four gas burners, and two wood burners. A rear manifold carries away all fumes through the single pipe vent.
That stove would look great in my kitchen, its beautiful!
Thank you, officalfuel. I'm kind of looking for a better place for it than I have (which is storage).
For some reason, looking at this makes me want chili and cornbread! LOL!

Great, Chapeldreamer, I'll join you!
Thank you lawat56. I've always thought this stove would be great in a mountain cabin.
This is Beautiful! Would Love to own a Great piece of history like this one. I have seen many and have bought many, but i have yet to actually own and use one. This would make any kitchen stand out in STYLE. AMAZING!
Thank you toledotreasurehunter. I wish I could accommodate you. The poor stove has been sitting storage for the last 2 months.
Love this . I have used this type of stove thye make the best food Electricity just can't replicate it. Down here on OZ some smart people use them out side (under cover ) for BBq's . you should be able to hook up bottled gas might have to adjust the jets. You have great things from your grandparents as well as great memories.
That's my WOW of the day! And the blue kettle etc. just go so perfectly.
Thank you, ozmarty. I don't think I'll be doing any BBq's but where is "down here on OZ?"
Oz is Australia , Canberra; we love BBQ's
I have a 1921 spark wood/gas stove I just aquired I dont know much about but love the looks of yours.Any hints to help my restoration?
One of my favorite dreams is to have a stove like that. Yours is especially beautiful and somehow comforting!
