    AboundingO…
    (24 items)

We used to see a lot of seed creations around here, when the Elders were alive, but now-a-days, not so much.

I found these two little critters at an auction, and the more I now look at them, the more they are staying with me...maybe to begin a collection of seed-pod designs.

It's nearly a lost art form. Does anyone whittle anymore?

These two are signed by number and artist, a D Lee. I have found a few D Lee's online, but no one shows any part of being folkish, except one lady who signs similar to these signatures...for once in my life I got ah-holt-uv-a artist to find out....she does really nice work with painting horses and dogs mostly...maybe?

They are both numbered - bird is 3855, and the butterfly is 3838

    Any guesses out there?

Thanks Jay...I still owe you a call...LOL - I get lost so easily in doing nothing in order to get things done right. and, godsss (the stupid spell check is telling me that ain't a word hahahaha), that can be a lost art in itself. Ive studied all the online pics and links to show anything but one pit being used to make art with, but only one is ever used so this person thought outside of the box...but there are some seriously cool single pit carvings out there to discover

D Lee contacted me, but she isn't the artist...so back to square one on these

I believe I can shed some light on this one. D. Lee was my grandfather, Duane Lee. He did thousands of these carvings, all at the kitchen table with a dremel and a hot glue gun. Did just about any animal you can think of, chess sets, nativity scenes. He would sell them at local craft shows, as well as give away Route 66 signs next to a historic bridge.
