Just thought I'd share my very first piece of Art Glass with you folks.
I normally only collect vintage Art Nouveau and Art Deco items (mostly bronze), but when I saw this remarkable glass sculpture (signed on the bottom "C(harles). Wright, 1976") I was unable to resist buying it.
The piece measures just a hair under 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide at the base, and those amazing opalescent "swirling" forms change color depending on the light and background!
Anyway, I hope I don't become "infected" with the Art Glass bug because it's hard enough already controlling myself when it comes to resisting Deco and Nouveau pieces (sheesh!)........
