This is one of the more exotic Harrach decors, made to look like heavily patinated bronze. It was not very well received at the time it was made, and if fact the author Gustav Pazaurek, in 1901, referred to this line as a "rather unfortunate borrowing from the field of ceramics"*.

I disagree, though - I think it's very cool, and I've been looking for an affordable example of this decor to add to the art nouveau portion of my Harrach collection for a long time. I found this one from an eBay seller in France!

Colorless glass, mold-blown, with two free-form handles. Floral design in relief enamel on a matte brown and green sprayed background. Marked in pencil on the base - 1436/6 (shape number) and K 1266 (decor). Matches the line drawing found in Harrach design book AH.207. The drawing for shape 1778/1 indicates an alternate - 1436/6. Beautiful Harrach. Warren, am I nuts or did one of the old ref. books attempt to call this type of glass Rindskopf at one time?

Perhaps, Tony, but I have no idea which one. Maybe you're thinking of Rindskopf
      diluvium?

      Thats it!
But now that I looked it up, it looks nothing like this.Sucks to get old :-))
Love the form here with the handles and the neck...and the decor really looks like aged bronze.

I know - it looks so convincing, that I had to look at the auction photos VERY carefully before I decided to bid.
