Here is another one of my small pins. It is a West Coast swing club 10k pin. I'm not sure what kind of stone it is. Maybe a Ruby.

Must have been a classy dance club to have a 10k gold long term membership pin like this.

I know militarist. I'm guessing its Club # 357 although I can't seem to locate it.

Hi Jono, I was just wondering if these lapel pins are valuable? I have found two in my late father's possessions, one with the ruby looking stone, and one without. they have the number 1357 on them I think, it may be 357.

Has anyone found any more info on these lapel pins? I found one that has 7 tiny diamonds and 1357 on it. Would love to know any info about it. Thanks. It is still mint in the box.

HaHa so funny, no nothing so strange. The WCS Club was a sales promotional campaign by the Combined Insurance Company of America (CICA). WCS was W. Clement Stone (1902-2002), the founder of the company. He is supposed to have penned the quote "Success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep trying." The pins (and there's a lot of different levels) were rewards for achieving various sales targets. There were Pearl, Ruby, Emerald and Diamond levels for various targets. The pins were only ever awarded to salespeople within the CICA. As far as I am aware, the "stones" are not real. Also, as far as I know, the pin reward system is no longer used.
