So here you have the other piece of mourning jewelry I bought for 1 euro at a flea market. I bought it together with the (Bog Oak?) brooch I posted earlier. As I already mentioned before nobody buys these mourning jewelry pieces anymore. Its such a shame...They represent such a huge part of our heritage and there was so much craftmanship needed to make them. I hope black jewelry gets in fashion soon.
I might have to clean this one, because I see some glue on the back of it.
I apologize for the bad quality of all these pictures and the future ones you are about to see in the following weeks. I shot them all for the first time without any help and my boyfriend/fiance thinks I did a lousy job with the light. He is right of course. ;-)
Thanks DrFluffy for loving my cross!
Thanks valentino for your nice comments and for loving my pendant. And thanks a lot bratjdd, Agram, vintagejewel and Manikin for loving my pendant.
Thank you to vetraio50 and bratjdd for loving my pendant!
I agree with you, there's nothing macabre about mourning jewellery, and it looks striking when worn. You were lucky with this find, jet jewellery can also be very expensive. Great addition to you collection! :)
