Here are two more Spanish ladies I just love. Both are Roldan, Klumpe, or Nistis and are in very good condition. I guess there aren't many collectors of these dolls that I know were probably inexpensive souveigners but I like them and plan to collect them! :o)
Sounds like a great idea to collect them ! I love the expressions on all their faces of characters they made . And the good thing is they don't break if you drop one ! I love that :-) Glad to have you with us on CW
I love these!!! They are dressed in the typical Valencian dress... just do an google image search for "fallera" and you'll see some girls and women dressed in simmilar clothes... I find them a bit scary! :)
Wow - I would have never known this AustroHungaro! I googled that name and found exactly what you mean - they DO look like these ladies! Not something I'd care to wear myself, but the dolls are kind of neat! haha!
Haha, I guess seen this ladies has been a little bit of a shock for you! :) I think I prefer the dolls to the originals :)
I have got some more information for you, and I think you will enjoy it!
Please visit this link and take a look at the second picture...

Doesn't it really looks like your woman with the spin doll?
Well, it ocurred to me that you've got a Tuno, two Valencianas, a fisher boy and... that lady had to be something, and it looked like she was dressed in one of the traditional Catalan clothes :) So here you have one dressed in a high class Catalan lady in traditional costume :)
Oh, and i am sure you alrady know this:
