Found this at SA this morning. I joked with the cashier that I found the world's largest coffee cup. Joking aside this 9"dia. "chamber pot" doesn't look like it was ever used for it's intended purpose. Very little wear and no damage. Most of the gilt banding is still there. The mark on the bottom is clear but the registration numbers have worn away making an exact date impossible. S. Fielding & Co. Ltd., manufactured earthen wares at the Devon Pottery, Stoke on Trent, in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries, England, from 1911. So I'm pretty sure 1911-12 would probably be right. Bet they had these on the Titanic ! The pattern is called "Etna" which is also marked on the bottom with some hand painted numbers. Probably the artist who painted it. A neat little find once you get past the gross factor. You can always put a plant in it .

Why thank you Aim ... I've been incredibly lucky. It's surprising what people donate to thrifts having no clue as to their actual value. I've sure learned a lot since posting on CW and met a lot of wonderful people too. -Mike-

      You are so correct Mike.
I haven't even started looking there yet, as I've had my hands full with my basement flood recovery. Which is still an ongoing, and even tho fully covered... its still an insurance headache. I've been doing it myself lately, even tho I do know the value, I've practically been giving everything away. Not always often enough, but sometimes space, organization and sanity comes before the almighty dollar ;^)
