    Hello Friends,
Isn't this incredible!? A solid piece of walnut, no visible joins, with thin walls. I'm so taken with it's beauty, the lightness, the simple shape, the gorgeous grain and color.

I'd love to know more about it, ( I've had it for a few years, but lately it's been beckoning me ). Any help identifying the beautiful soul who made this would be greatly appreciated.

    Best to all,
    T

Hello Budek... I'm sorry I can't... the only thing I can tell you which you probably know is that Cromwell is in Central Atago on the beautiful South Island...but!... I can tell you that you have a beautiful piece of turned walnut there...:-)

Thanks for the looks and loves, PhilDavidAlexanderM, charcoal, Tom, & Sean,
and Thanks for the very interesting comments, Tom and Sean.
Tom, when I've handled it I've been keenly aware of the sound that it makes, so your suggestion that it might be a percussion instrument seems very realistic to me,....thanks for bringing it into the light!!!
      Happy Week-end to all!,
      Tony.

You're very welcome Budek. Try it out to "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult....it might need more cow bell. LoL, but wood block has a warmer tone! =)

Fantastic piece of wood turning, a testament to the skill of the craftsman who turned it!
You could try contacting the Wellwood Gallery, possibly they could point you in the right direction.
