All I know about this table is that my grams bought it for over $5,000 in the 1960's off a old furntiure dealer that lived in palos verdes. I believe him to be Louis G. Sherman he was a friend of my grandparents. It was his personal dining room table when he retired and moved my grandparent bought it in 1962. I am trying to learn more about this table. My information is not exact I had no idea I would be getting it. Just going off of stories I remember her telling. Any help would be amazing. I will post more pictures because I know they are not the best.

it's very unusual to have a wood carved antique base with a glass piece on top. To me, it looks to be a table that used to be all wood and someone came along and did a custom piece by adding glass to it. I believe this to be one of a kind...someone mixed glass with an ornate base, maybe so the ornate base could be seen through the glass. The base appears to have had areas added at different times...it doesn't look to have been originally made the way we see it now. :) very interesting...hang on to it!
