Hand carved wood base glass top table. pre 1960's #2

All I know about this table is that my grams bought it for over $5,000 in the 1960's off a old furntiure dealer that lived in palos verdes. I believe him to be Louis G. Sherman he was a friend of my grandparents. It was his personal dining room table when he retired and moved my grandparent bought it in 1962. I am trying to learn more about this table. My information is not exact I had no idea I would be getting it. Just going off of stories I remember her telling. Any help would be amazing.
