This little bit of insanity came from GW this morning. It really is a bit unnerving but something just makes you want to keep looking at it. I'd say it has a very visceral look about it... literally. It's super heavy and about 12" tall. The coiled abstract form looks like a large intestine. The glaze is a thick drippy blue green on a tan base with either simulated or real craquelure. The bottom has a chalk board type black finish. Can't find any signature or marks. Usually people sign their high school art projects ...lol , but not this time. I did see an abstract Fidas of Deruta Italian vase that's a bit like this, but I think this is a one off by an unknown. -Mike-

Hello Mike, Very cool piece, I agree that it looks Gastro-intestinal, fascinating, organic

Thanks Tony, The color and the way the glaze sits on the piece also has a bit of a scaly dragon look to it. Albeit a headless one...lol.

Unfortunately reminds me that I have to go for a Colonoscopy before Christmas! RER

This is the true definition of "organic", in this case the upper intestine (and they didn't fast beforehand). This is without doubt a "one off", I hope.

      lol......Looks like it needs a Vowel movement....LOL

Very organic to say the least. Neat, Super. Maybe it is a GEORGE OHR pottery item and worth $$$

I like that one too Rose :) What drew me too this one ? Hmm... well I guess it was just seeing it among all the other mundane things on the shelf that day. I actually do like the glaze on the piece. It's a nice jade green color. The shape..not so much....lol.
