Hello Friends,
Awoke very late today,( not sleeping well lately:(
BUT!, I did manage to get to an estate sale before work, where I found this interesting object.
Approximately 9+1/2" long, 6+1/2" deep and 6+1/2" high
with all of these wonderful little drawers
beautiful red lacquer color, a bit of flaking and most of the top handle missing, but still a great piece.
What on earth would it have been used for?
The paintings, all around, are curious subject matter,....just lovely.
I'm interested in hearing any ideas.

"A cup of ganja tea half hr. before bed". Just repeating a Jamaican home remedy but I wouldn't know. Actually, I don't remember a home remedy when I lived in Jamaica that didn't have the word "ganja" in it but assume just coincidence. Beautiful piece. basic style reminds me of old military traveling field, staff desk/case.
Oh, what's the do-dad sticking out of the top for?
