Small China Dish with artwork depicting Long Billed Birds, Floral, Waterside and Distant Mountain Scene.
I bought this today for £3.
I think it is bone china as it is translucent when held up to the light and is very thin and quite 'hard sounding' when tapped.
I'm not sure whether the mountain / volcano in the background is Mt. Fuji.
The birds and flowers appear to be hand painted.
It is octagonal - size 5 + 3/8" (135mm) across flats and weighs only 2.61 ounces (74 grams).
I do not know its age, or where exactly it was manufactured and it looks undamaged to me.
    Enjoy.

Very very pretty - it looks like the Suzuki Company mark, mid-1950's Japan.

Yes, it is definitely a piece from the Suzuki Company of Japan. I will tell my motorcycling friend that I bought a Suzuki at the weekend. Thanks for showing me the fascinating web page about Japanese Porcelain marks.

actually it was quite an riddle because we have decide whether it was suzuki taisho or suzuki showa ,so you to compare all the taisho with the showa and the taisho pieces got more contrast and got more bourgundy nebula with small cells in the clouds with a sort of tiny blastula , so vetraio is right

advice NEVER use Gotheborg, so many mistakes
