Wanted to share some of my collection of beasts.
The funniest is that I scream as a cowboy (Yeeeehaa!) when I see a more than four legged little (or big) beast, I won't touch any of them, even the most beautiful butterfly makes me... fly away!
But these are my best friends, all together on a hat or a vest.
As Agram, I use my brooches as pendants or shortener on pearls.

Collecting is a great entertaining leisure, a kind of hunting with excitation, a nice hollyday trip!
I had too to sell cherished things and family furniture to rehab my home, this was excruciating ! But they all remain in my soul...
All beauties I love them. The only insects I hate are mosquitos and flies.

Tee hee ! I was waiting for a response ! :..: I was thinking about what I hate, (really)
& all I could think of is a fly.. Ew. But I've always admired their shimmering, iridescent colors of electric blues & peacock greens on their coats. Their shiny translucent wings. And even the muted tones of oxen blood red in their big weird eyes.
So it made me think of that silly (Poem) that my mother told me when I was a child. Cept. I can't believe I still recall it. ?? But thought it appropriate sorta..?
Now I'm feeling guilty for torturing them.
Lambda, I HATE real insects, living or dead... Scream like a cowboy when one is getting on me, even a butterfly! The only I don't smash are bees and wasps.

My phobia is snakes. Can't stand to see them in photos or on TV, even as jewelry or art, they make my insides curdle!!!

A small collection here of choice pieces. Nice to see this again after so long, gorgeous detailed work and the bling factor is 100%, magnificent. Although I don't have any turtles at the moment, I always wanted to collect them. We had some small turtles when we were kids and reminds me of the sun coming in the veranda !~
