      Looks like someone just got there driveway paved,and I believe that's a 1941 Chevy in the back.Nice photo!

      Could it be some kind of garden roller or mower perhaps?

      Very interesting, tennis court/asphalt/road roller.
      It has the Chevy symbol on it!
      The motor must sit between his legs & it drives the rear roller through a gear box & bevel gear on the end plate of the rear roller.

      I was in the paving world for 20 years looks like a very early asphalt roller to me .

      Guy was at the Putman Lodge one night. Had 5 shots of rotgut whiskey while smoking cigarettes, and chewing tobaccy, then passed out and fell at the foot of the bar. Ooh -what a hangover the next day!
