pretty dang perfect shape Wostok Komandirskie watch with a submarine on the dial,..cant date it cause they tend to make watches out of whatever parts they have on hand at the time,..keeping good time so far,.nice big heavy duty feeling watch with a screw down stem and a nicely embossed back ,.cant beat it for 9 bucks thanks local thrift stores!! some tiny scratches on the crystal ( acrylic) that ive already buffed out most of,.. another one i dont have to worry bout when i work,.and i like hard to kill watches!
These Vostok watches are very popular amongst watch overs here in Europe .
im very happy with it,..i thought the crown was loose but i did some readign and thers a clutch mechanism in it that gives it that feel,..i know they are hit or miss quality wise but im hoping mines a good one,..seems to be pretty well made nice and heavy and gotta love the submarine n seagulls on the dial
I have 3 of these Vostok watches and they are all 3 very good runners. The last one, I bought on a watch sale market and is about 35 years old. This old Russian handwinder keeps time as good as any very expensive Swiss watch.
i like the fact that the seals seeem to be fairly easy to replace on the back and the crown so if i notice it fogging up they can be replaced,..since they have been making em forever with about the same specs they only have 2 sizes of gaskets,..the ones for the komradinski and the ones for the amphibia,..and around 7 bucks a set for the rubber,..
