Here's a scarce syrup jug acquired via an eBay BIN listing. The label shows fountain mixing instructions in 8 languages.
Not one which comes around often in this condition. Paid (shudder) full book value this time, mainly because the label is all there. Two small holes. earlycoke.com showed the piece having a little more value at the NM level. I weighed factors too numerous to list here then decided to pull the trigger. If I was smarter I'd figure out an algorithm or formula. eBay=BIN2? hmmmm...
As fellow 8-packer Tommy recently opined, sometimes a collector has to be prepared to step up when a piece strikes the fancy.

I remember the syrup jugs in soda fountains in the 50's but never gave them a 2nd thought. Another case of hind-sight vs da-da-da. I think they were just thrown away. I don't remember the tapered sides but that was l-o-o-n-g ago.
Thanks blunderbuss for your comments, always nice to hear from you.
Hey Daddy, working with a 60 yr old memory but think I remember how the soda-jerk did it. Two squirts of syrup (2 1/2 if you were favoured) & fill with carbonated water.
I was surprised reading the label, no crushed ice in that old recipe?
Man, you knocked it out on this one Dave! You almost never see these up on ebay,,,,,,EVER.
Thanks Mr. Perry. I think you're right, I didn't recall seeing one like it in this condition before up on the eBay. I'm trying to keep my Coca-Cola buys to the uncommon variety now (mixed success). Enjoy the food, family, and football tomorrow my friend!
SWEEETT Dave!! Have a great Thanksgiving weekend !!
You too Bernie! Thank You.
