Ya'll seemed to like that other post, so here's the B-25 that I first heard & ran tingles up my spine. The sound of big radial engines, like Harley's, stir me to the soul! The bombs are of course inert but notice the wires to the fuses that pulled the safety pin out as they were dropped. Radials can actually blow a "jug"( cylinder) completely off & still keep going! For those of you who have wondered why ground crews are shown in the old war films slowly turning props before starting, it is to clear the oil out of the lower cylinders so a hydraulic-lock doesn't blow the jug off on starting. Interesting, but totally useless information. Those up-draft carbs are known for catching fire on starting & I had it happen to me before, but that's another story.

Very cool as it is a solid nose with the 8 machine guns. Don't see those very often.

Same to you Thrifty. I'll try to fulfill your expectations & relieved that there won't be a "13" on my marker. I too came in early because of the amateur drunks on the road competing with us professionals. Rattled the windows in my part of the "Rock" with the big-boy blunderbuss at midnight.
