I'm posting this unusual brass clock for a family member. It appears to be some sort of timepiece. We haven't been able to find a maker's mark anywhere. There are a few numbers however. There is a "36362" in the top corner of the face. The back has a strange geared dial . It has the number "13424" stamped at the top but it's backwards. There are two keys and I'm told it does work. I guess it's some sort of clock. So,I'm enlisting the help of our clock collectors here on CW. Any thoughts ? - Mike-

Looks more like part of a time stamp that used an inked ribbon to print a clock face on a paper.

That's an interesting thought TA . So it may not be a clock in the conventional sense.

Yes, not only does it tell the time, but it has a job too.

I think TA's on to something with that idea,

Me too kerry.... I've been hunting around online with this new info in mind but I'm still not finding anything remotely like it. Probably because it might be part of something larger like TA says. It does work as a stand alone clock however.

Mike, Really nice clock! Crazy about the look of it, what a super find! Glad you got it.

I'm thinking that TA is on the right track here too. Perhaps this was part of an old Time & Attendance System? That could be one possibility anyway.
