FOUND IN LATCHFORD ONT ABOUT EIGHT YEARS AGO I THINK IT DATES BACK TO 1800 HUNDERDS I DONT NOW MUCH ABOUT THIS CLAY/POTTORY CUP LOOKING TO SEE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME OUT OR POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION .IT SAYS ON THE CUP BATTERSEA ROUND MORGAN ENGLAND WITH AN F IN THE CENTER

Hi Gary I have two of these Assay pots mine has Battersea Triangle. Morgan England with the letter U in the middle. Do you have any more information in regards to the pots and the value of the pots. These were my mothers originally

Hi, just found this article.
As I understand, this item is a gold smelting crucible. The miner uses the crucible for smelting kind of minerals such as gold or silver. I have a plenty item with various size, mostly smaller. The biggest size (I think) like yours always have a series (I think) with letter "H", "F", "G" or maybe others.
