Art Deco Display Cabinet

This is a typical 1950s vintage display cabinet from Singapore or Malaysia. It used to belong to my colleague's grandpa who had passed away a few years back and was just sitting in his house with some other lovely vintage pieces. So while they clearing out his house to rent it out, they decided to give away the old furniture. I was the lucky recipient of this glass-fronted art deco style display cabinet. I thought it might be teak but I am not sure if it is teak or perhaps only partially teak as it doesn't feel so solid to me. I have my vintage handbags and purses in the middle shelf as that is the most flimsy shelf. The top shelf holds a heavy ceramic sculpture by an Australian artist, and the bottom shelf has my glass decanters.
