Hello Friends,
I've been working so much that I haven't had time for shopping or anything else.
This is a find from a few weeks ago. I thought it was just wonderful, never seen one before.
It's an actual 1905 U.S. Quarter with the face of Liberty pushing through it.
I was hoping that I could learn something about it from my friends here on CW.
Any thoughts?
Thanks and Happy Christmas holidays to all!,
Tony.
BEAUTIFUL!!
I've never seen one. Novel idea.
Thanks for the loves and comments, Sean, Kevin, pops, and blunderbuss
much appreciated!!!
Here's one similar to yours for reference.

Most likely they heated the coin then stamp it out ..right aroud that time was the womens movment going in on ,,just my guess
Thanks for the love, Tom, and Thank You to pops and Roycorftbooksfrommer1 for the helpful comments,
much appreciated!!!
Roy, I was just coming back to say that they certainly had to be heated but you beat me to it.
Actually, that must have been double sculpted dies for either side & compensating for the thickness of the metal.
yep blunder the dies are a given... but trying to connect to womens suffrage as one of there pins., will take some time if thats the case..
Where did women's lib./ suffrage come in? Thought that was over when the check arrived at the table & they had us sleeping on the wet spot! I am definitely going to hear more from from that!!! LOL!!
Your very welcome Tony!!
some were around 1904 -5 ..ended in 1920 I beleave when they got the right to vote...and there where some militent one's at that time as well ...lol
Tony, Check out this link on the patent for the die used in this process.

Have a great night,

great job pops ...saw the patten # on esty but never thouht to run it ....well done
I believe I am correct saying it is illegal to deliberately destroy or deface U.S. currency & notice that this use isn't mentioned in the patent.
