This very rare and collectible Art Nouveau high-glazed vase was made around 1900 by Fayence-en Tegelfabriek (1894-1920) in Utrecht. De Utrechtse Faince-en Tegelfabriek was founded by Jan Willem Mijnlieff (1862 - 1937).
It is one of my favorite pieces found in the early morning hours of the old 26th street market in the Chelsea area NYC. I really miss the art and antique markets in the city.

Dutch and Belgian painted ceramic detail work never ceases to amaze me. I suspect many of the artisans producing these decorative pieces were susceptible to vision decline.
