Its a three wheeled kids pump riding toy. It has a horse head on the front and the chair type seatback is supposed to be on it. The wheels are like old wagon wheels they are wood with a steel rings around them. It has toll pin striping on it. Maybe its a home made item! I dont know.....lol If anyone has a idea please let me know.

The last pic tells me that it was made by somebody who knew wooden wheel design. Wagon wheels were dished to compensate for expansion & contraction due to moisture content in the wood & didn't break. The ends of the axles were canted down so the the bottom spokes would be perpendicular to the ground for best strength. Your toy shows all the expertise of a true wheelwright. Of course, wooden wheels didn't go out until WWII but this shows all evidence of being pre-1900's. I had to learn all this when rebuilding the wheels of my C.W. cannon (see my site on that). I really enjoyed this poste if you can't tell.

Beautiful trike. Would definitely be worth spending the money to replace the missing pieces.
I don't remember seeing one like that in old ads. I'll keep an aye open.
