This is a photo card of a group of the U.S. Army on a visitor tour of Heidelberg Castle. - I have confirmed the photo was taken in the courtyard of the castle based on the architecture. Several of the men have cameras. The two officers apparently are in the front row to the left side. Directly in the center in the back is a gentleman dressed in a dark uniform with I believe is a Sergants rank stripes on the lower sleeve. He is holding the shoulders of the woman in front of him, probably his wife, and to his right is a young boy, and to his left an even younger girl. -- My mother is the female in the back row off to the right of center. My father is not shown as I believe this is from 1953 or 1954 which predates his military deployment to Germany. My mother worked as a typist / translator in the Office of the Headquarters Commandant / U.S. Army Stuttgart District from at least 1952 to 1954.
