As I mentioned yesterday on a comment to the other SÖGRÖN post, I have just got a FIONIA bowl in this colour. It's an amazing one, standing 15 cm tall and it's 35 at its widest. It is signed HOLMEGAARD 19PL55.
The FIONIA series came in Akva blue and Smoke gray, but there is no mention, as far as i know, it was made in sea-green. As i told you before, SÖGRÖN doesn't exist as a range, although there are items from different series in this colour.
I have got another FIONIA bowl, a small one, in an even rarer red. I'll post it very soon (I thought I had posted it already!)
stunning range!!!
Nice natural forms!
VERY nice.... Gorgeous!!
Pure organic shapes from the 50s! I would like to find out why did they make some designs in this colour although it seems they never designed anything specially for this sea-green colour.
Thanks for your loves and comments Sen, rebessin, Aimathena and bratjdd!
Your collection is endless. If I were a museum director I would come to you and kneel down.
Haha, it¡s not endless, cobalt! amazingly only a 10 % of it is kept in boxes. I trust very soon they all will have a decent space to be displayed in, more or less, their full glory... LOL!
I think these designers from the 40s, 50s and so on were actually creating new shapes, new uses, new items even. Most of the designers of today are simply re-styling.
I think I have one of these but could not ID it.
@Fledermaus: Do you mean the shape or the colour?
