There is no mark or foundry name that I could see. Why would there be a font which lifts out of the ball at top and has caps for filling and a turner for the wick if it wasn't made for kerosene? It is now electrified.

The owner just told me that this lamp came from the Berkshires (MA) and was in his parents house in the 1940's so it was made before that time.

Sorry, I think you have a ''Frankenlamp''. Some thing put together from parts of different time periods. The font holder is from a brass and brass plated piano lamp. The shade is also an addition. If you enjoy it as it stands then you will continue to do so. I just thought that you would like to know that it is not in any way in it's original state. If I am wrong about you wanting to know, I am sorry.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa
