This is a very rare complete set of jarts the lawn dart game .. I came across this one day out and about .. I know they have been banned by the U.S. toy's and gamming.. they sit on my shelf . I don't think I would ever let my kids play with them . I think I can remember one time when I was a kid throwing them around a yard . The box is very frail and brittle . just a cool piece I though I would share

I saw a complete set in the box earlier this year at the flea market and didn't buy them. Been kicking myself ever since.

P.S. you don't even want to know what I had to fork out for this set . I know we should not talk about money but it was less than 10.00

Nice set -- Grew up with them. I do not know IF you can even Sell them anymore as I thought they were illegal to sell ( Due to injuries). Yes they are a collectible, so just keep them as they do form a toy that was thought to be safe, then down the road was not. So has a collectible factor

Your right Antiquerose. There was a warning sent out in 1988 and I think in 1997 they were made illegal to sell. I have tried to list them on ebay 2 times kicked off both times. Every once and awhile one sneaks by them. I'm no longer trying to sell them. I check ebay all of the time sometimes you see someone just trying to sell a box or a fin. I't a neat piece that sits in the garage. This is a good example notice how they don't even mention the word Jart. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Backyard-Toss-in-Hoop-Lawn-Game-for-Outdoor-Yard-Play-Regents-Complete-/311442883966?hash=item488371457e:g:pRMAAOSw4SlV8kL4

Loved playing Jarts no one lost any eyes (by pure luck) Mom sold anything and everything at her yard sales (99.9% of my old stuff went then including Jarts)

We had 5 kids in my family and we played it all the time. Amazing how not one of us got hurt. Guess we had parents that knew how to parent. But life this game and would love to purchase one.

When I was a kid in the late 50's,you could buy those wood dart board darts with feathers for ten cents each. We used to play chicken with them!!!
Toss them up in the Air and yell Chicken. Those that looked up were chicken!! I got one in my hand one day as I was covering my head. Kids can be pretty stupid!!?

I have been looking for these for a long time! My husband and I go upstate every year for the 4th of July and an older couple keeps them in their boat to play on the beach. So much fun!! I would love to find a set for home!

Any idea what these are worth? Have a couple of sets in the garage I am considering selling.

My sister and I had a set of these and we survive! Was around the mid-70s. This game taught you not only throwing accuracy but how to pay attention, dodge and duck and sprint when necessary. Kids today are soft ha ha.

Diane1957 are you interested in passing them along. My family has been playing the game annually as part of a 50+ year family reunion tradition. Unfortunately are set is getting pretty rough and would love to replace.
