Yesterday Carlos surprised me by bringing this amazing piece from his studio. This lampfoot comes from the same Peyró ceramcis studio that made the great vase I showed here not too long ago (http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/104401-peyr-vase-spain-1950s?in=collection-1535) and, just like it, it shows a great genuinely 50s shape.
I specially like the texture of the glaze, but of course the shape is soooo wonderful! I also like the contrast with the other vase.
Just like I told you with the vase, I've been unable to find more 50s style pieces from Peyró. Carlos says that there are a few samples in the National Ceramics Museum in Valencia... I think i should go there and take a look at them, and then take a chance and see the amazing building that houses it (a Baroque palace with an amazing entrance door... I'm writing down its link at the comments section)
