The Gallus Derby-Lux is a folding-strut camera for 127 film. Its body and lens panel are made of thick, bare, polished aluminum. It was manufactured circa 1945 in Paris, France as a continuation of the German-made Foth Derby.
Before very long, Gallus changed the name of the camera to Derlux, making examples with the Derby-Lux name even harder to find.

The 2nd photo shows the opened back of the camera. Here you can see there are four windows, 2 red and 2 green. A sliding mask inside the back allowed the user to choose the color, depending on the type of film being used. The rear of the camera also shows the handy depth-of-field table, and the Derby-Lux name (the only way to distinguish it from a Derlux, as far as I know).

    A real Machine Age beauty!
