My husband was given this as a gift years ago. We know nothing about it and don't see any information online with the name on the watch face. Has anyone heard of this name?

Could we get the name? I'm not pulling out a magnifying glass to look at a poste. I love old pocket watches. And we have some real knowledgable people here.

clg2999 I'd like to introduce you to our welcoming Chairman, Blunderbuss. He barks loudly but is really quite nice once you get to know him. :))))))
      Nice watch.

Jono, I know that strategy. I'm given a title instead of a raise!

Sorry... the name was in my post title. It appears to be H. Bach - I don't have a magnifying glass at home either and that's the best I can see it. Eyes aren't what they used to be :) Thank you!

Jono thank you. Given to my husband for his confirmation over 30 years ago. Back of the watch has a family member's monogram engraved on it. Holds time for a little bit before stopping. We have no info on it sadly.

Here is a link "solver" shared with me when I was trying ti identify my pocket watch.
      Hope it helps.

Thanks Jono. I don't want to damage the watch and can't get it open, so I'm going to find a jeweler or watch repair shop to open it for me. Maybe then I'll be able to identify it. Thank you for the link :)

If it is a typical disk-screw-on-back, just go around taping it fairly gently on a surface like vinyl counter top. Then use the palms of both hands to unscrew. My sister took my old pocket watch to a jeweler & he couldn't open it. When I got up there, I did what I just said & it twisted off easily. Bonne chance.

      Thanks Blunderbuss2 I'll give that a try.
